Post # 16. Operation Reunification Did Not Cause Ukraine's Tragedy
Hello everyone, this is Dr. Ghossein with you again on the subject of Ukraine.
The suffering of Ukraine is real, painful, and devastating, it reminds me of so many avoidable tragedies that have taken place around the world, but politics, ideology, and the rush to polarise, and recruit new members to one side or the other, will keep the two major camps alive no matter the cost.
It is obvious that the current players in the Ukraine conflict, have failed to prevent the disintegration of that country, which I might add, was preventable.
Who are the players? On one side, NATO, the E.U. and their camp, on the other side, Russia and its camp, and then we have many spectator countries. Notice I have not mentioned Ukraine as a player, because that country is the game itself.
Many months ago, I suggested a change of perspective, a change to the foggy binoculars the West is using to view the situation.
In Ukraine we have a leadership, that is nothing other than an agency representing NATO and company, being paraded to the media as Ukraines saviour. Well, nothing about this leadership indicates, that they want to preserve any dignity, or integrity for Ukraine.
Ukraine's leadership must go. Time for Ukraine to claim any victory is long gone, propaganda is no longer useful, flexing muscles is seen as a fools game.
Unfortunately NATO,, the E.U., and the West, are still using the same binoculars, and so far they have:
1- Supplied the Ukrainian Agency with Billions of Dollars worth of weapons, and still doing so, till Russia is defeated. In reality, the more weapons they send, the more land the Russians are liberating, this is odd, isn't it?
2- They have imposed every sanction known to man on Russia
3= They have not addressed the original Russian concerns
4- Trying to protect their military reputation, which is causing Ukraine's demise
5 - They certainly are not following what they preach about; human rights, high morals, and respect for international law, because one of their members, is a violator of all, the turks, occupying half of Cyprus, ( EU member), violating the rights of 20 million kurds of turkey, not to forget the Armenian genocide and other atrocities the turks have committed, and still doing so.
6- From day one, they have been pushing Ukrainians to fight for a lost cause
7- They have realised that the sanctions are not producing the results desired
8 - Arms shipments worth Billions, are but a waste of money, and killer of peace opportunities
9 - A well organised propaganda machine against Russia and Putin have miserably failed
10 - Failed in their mission to convince others that Russia is after many more East European countrie. Because the truth prevails, and Russia is very much interested in stability around its borders
11 - At this moment and as I write this post, The Russians are advancing, and the West is still denying it, and claiming victory, They are saying; Russia will be totally defeated, and they will keep spending their taxpayers' money until Russia is defeated. Odd bunch indeed, they lose land and troops, yet they declare victory
Now here is a good one for you; What is happening to the weapons sent to Ukraine?
1- Weapons that reach their final destination are indiscriminately fired quickly, with no results to speak of, but this does not matter, for the aim of Ukrainian fighters is to get immediate replacement for weapons used
2 -Weapons that reach their destination or even prior to that, are immediately destroyed by the Russians
3 - Some of the weapons are not even reaching their destination, they are reaching other destinations, and God knows, which organisations might have them. Perhaps, this explains why the rush for more new weapons
4 - NATO, E.U. and the West, must Keep a tab on their weapons shipments
Total Failure for NATO and the West so far, and that will not change. What is most remarkable, the 30.5 nations war on Russia is futile, why? you ask
It is clear that, in order to advance, you must move forward, and that is what the Russians are doing, but NATO and company, never advanced with any of their ideas, because they keep moving in circles, reaching the same point again and again.
So if we are to measure the successes of the two camps, we can conclude that NATO, the EU, and the West, were successful in:
1- destroying Ukraine, 2- spending Billions, 3- polarizing the rest of Europe, 4- starting a global arms race
Russia is successful
1 - In its Operation Reunification, 2- In Getting the West to be the culprit in starting the global arms race, Hence, a new world order and militarisation. 3 - In consolidating its international influence, 4 - In increasing its sphere of influence, 5 -Mr. Putin got all his people to rally behind him.
Now, how can we move forward? For the sake of Ukrainians, I still say negotiations:
Keeping in mind that this operation started more than five months ago
So, negotiations will have to begin from a demarcation point, as if nothing has taken place, that means;
1 - Do not ask Russia to vacate any land especially the Russian part of Ukraine
2 - Must accept that the remaining land, that will make a Ukrainian entity, will have no access to the Black Sea (Landlocked).
3 - Forget about the New Ukraine ever joining NATO
4 - Give Russia all the security assurances that it has been asking for
5 - New Ukraine shall declare its neutrality, and live comfortably as did Finland and the other Baltic states, Russia never threatened any of them.
6 - I said at the top of page that the present players have failed, so why not bring in new blood, with different perspective, new countries with a tight grip on what is realistic and what is idealistic, perhaps India, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico......
how can the West be smart about it?
1 - They can speed it up, and run quickly to the negotiating table
2 - Should not push Mr. Putin into a corner
3 - Should not give Mr. Putin an excuse to get serious, and change his military activities
4 - Should not delay, for the more they do, the less of the New Ukraine will be left
So hurry up while Russia is still toying with you,
Start talks now, and the Russian Red Line will be a straight line drawn from Karkhiev to Mykolaiv to Odesa, and point west to the Romanian border
If you wait, the line will reach the Dnieper River
More waiting will make the line start at Kiev
So the longer they wait, the farther west Russia moves, and the less territories will be left for the New Ukraine.
Giddy up, take my advice, get to the negotiating table. Time is not on your side.
NATO charter assures members that; a war declared on one, is war declared on all. Fine, but you know very well, that one does not need to declare war to defeat another. Endless ways are available, be it conventional or non-conventional.
You might be wondering by now, which one is the half nation out of the 30,5 fighting Russia
One day, I will share that with you
Now that I have said my peace, allow me to go reflect, and offer some positive thoughts to all parties, perhaps they will make the needed decisions, that is, saving lives, allowing tranquility to take over, and letting goodwill reign again.
As B.R. said; Ados for now
