Post # 15: Ukraine's Tragedy, Who is responsible? Who created it?

Hello everyone, this is Dr. Ghossein back with you, in these difficult times around the world, Covid, Economic uncertainty, Tragedy in Ukraine and elsewhere, the ripple effect on third and fourth world countries  ...

From the outset, I would like to make it clear, that I am totally, and unreservedly against the acts of  invasion of a sovereign country, by another no matter the reasons. However, looking at a situation  realistically and pragmatically, without any preconceived notions, does not refute my earlier statement.

I remember my Mother God rest her Soul, She used to say: If you wish, Sit oblique son, it is ok, but speake straight always.

Unfortunately, speaking straight is a rare commodity these days, especially in the tragic situation of Ukraine. NATO the EU. and the West, have exhausted all means to convince Russia to stop its invasion, to no avail, So What to do?

Since the dismantling of the Soviet Union, a Red Line was drawn making Ukraine and Belorussia  off limits to NATO. Now, NATO, the EU and the West understood what the Russian Federation's goal is; Not to have NATO arsenals at its border..

For years now, the West has been pumping up the hopes of the Ukrainian people of a life based on their own image. However no substencial results ever materialised for Ukraine. Same old, poverty, unemployment, lack of R&D, total stagnation, and economic desperation, pushing Ukrainians to leave by any means possible, for example more than one million Ukrainian work in Poland which is an EU. and a NATO country.

They knew very well Ukraine will never be admitted neither to the EU. nor to NATO, but they kept sitting straight, but talking oblique from both sides of their moths to Ukrainians, instigating a revolt against a regime that was acceptable to Russia.

Russia, took exception to that. No one paid attention, that the old Red Line was stepped upon.

Russia responded by encouraging descent in the Donbas Region, it succeeded, and reminded all again, that there is a Red Line the west is disrespecting.

Certainly the West did not back off, because they have goals of their own.

All, while talks continued, between East and West, and the clear refusal of the West, to hear Russia's concerns. Russia proceeds then to occupying Crimea, an area more than half the size of Estonia which is a NATO member.

After that occupation, EU, NATO, and the West imposed sanctions on Russia, who responded by taking the Donbas Region, and declaring two independent entities in it.

Meanwhile the West continued to pump the Ukrainians, putting them on a collision course with Russia, knowing very well, they will never defend Ukraine's territories.

Today Russia is at the gates of  Kyiv, about to occupy Ukraine, and the West is still talking, not only oblique, but in circles,

A bit of historical facts, you probably know most of it  ;

1989 the dismantling of the Soviet Union, which had five westbound lines, to be dismantled.

The first line: Going eastward was, the Berlin wall, then East Germany joining West Germany. fine,

The second line was; Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and Yugoslavia. Fine too

The third line was; Moldavia, Romania, and Bulgaria. fine as well.

The fourth line was; Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. No problem.

The fifth, and most strategic line left was; Belorussia, and Ukraine.

Bit by bit, the West absorbed the USSR's sphere of influence in Europe, accepting all countries on the four lines into NATO, and the EU. with little objection from Russia.

At one time, the West even tried to absorb Russia itself,  by making it a member of the G7, calling it the G8. But they realised that the crocodile will choke trying to swallow a bear, they decided to spit it out, and go back to being the G7.

Two countries were never admitted neither to NATO nor to the EU. That fact should establish a demarcation point, indicating Russia's objection to these countries joining the Western Alliance.

Ukraine is geographically most strategic for Russia's military campaigns in all directions, not to forget, that Ukraine has more than 15 nuclear reactors left from the Soviet Era, with conversion capability from nuclear energy, into nuclear weapons, all at Russia's front door.

The West is fully aware of Russia's concerns, because Russia made that perfectly clear to the West many years ago.

NATO will never set foot in Ukraine, they will never cover its airspace, same as Ukraine never will be allowed to join NATO and the EU.

The question is; NATO knows that They do not want Ukraine as a member, why are they still pushing for the demise of Ukraine? Same question goes to the EU,

The second question is: Why wood NATO accept Estonia as member, and not Ukraine, a country forty times more populated, and 15 times larger than Estonia? Well, as I said, they knew from the beginning, Ukraine will never be accepted to either organisation,

But, NATO and the EU. knew something else. What was it? you ask, what did they know?.

They knew, Russia will never accept NATO at its border, They knew they will need a sacrificial lamb, a Guinea pig if you will, to use, to save their own skin, and what better place than desperate Ukraine, which they have been preparing as a sacrifice for years. But they have to show that they're doing all to save that country, which was doomed, for being a border line between East and West, a bargaining chip.

Like I said in one of my tweets, Ukraine is the only loser in this game, Ukraine loses its identity, the  West will fill its immigration quota, and Russia will get what it wanted prior to all the misery brought upon Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.

Now on the subject of Sanctions against Russia: The Soviet Union prior to 1989, was an entity living on its own with nothing to do with the west other than a Cold War. no Visa no Mastercard, no western coffee, donut and burger shops, no Zara, Mara, none of all these companies that are boycotting Russia, If I recall correctly, all of these companies were eager to get into the newly born Russian Market, they did, and they made Billions of dollars by offering all the trendy items and ideas. A totally superficial layer to the survival of Russia, Now they want all these goodies back. all will make no difference for Ukraine.

Out of all the Western  Leaders, there must be few of them that understand the reality of the situation, but Ukraine's tragedy is a game to them, counting how many votes they will get, for every move they make, like our prime minister is trying so hard to be the good boy of NATO and The EU, and his deputy, acting like a Ukrainian leader in exile, manipulating other ministers, while domestic problems accumulate in Canada.

Just to be fair, and realistic, in such a global game, let us reverse the scenario, let us assume that Russia is the one that is placing its arsenal close to the US border, What do you think will happen? Well don't go too far, just back to 1961/62 and the missile crisis, ending up with The USSR backing off, And The US. Occupying part of Cuba.

I still wonder why all this enthusiasm was not applied when the turks occupied half of Cyprus, and they remain a member of NATO.

At this juncture, it is fair to say then; what is good for the goose, is good for the gander

The world is full of inadequacies, injustice, double and multi standards, self-interest, for one reason or another what applies to one does not to others, and believe you me, the rule of the fittest, and the law of the jungle, still applies.

All of these western leaders travelling non stop feeling tall, producing nothing, I like to remind them that it is taxpayers money they are wasting, and tall they stand on the ashes of Ukraine, So I say to them; go home, stop talking in circles, Nothing you can do about it, you have toyed enough with Ukraine, I hope Ukrainians realise that they have been played, and traded many times over, by the same people who are encouraging them to make Molotov cocktails                                                                  You are not willing to defend Ukraine militarily, you are able only to talk about it, So why not:
1- Let Ukraine be a Neutral Country, because it never was and still it is not good enough for the EU., and NATO.
2 - give Russia the security it asked for since day one, something you could have guaranteed, sparing Ukraine's dissolution, Ukrainians being refugees in their own country and a burden on the rest of the world
3 - Stop interfering in Ukraine, because we can all see the results, not in favour of that country.
4 - Let Ukrainians deal with Russia, without you creating hot heads not able to see beyond their noses,  all your plans are doomed to failure, can you not see it, You got what your policies were aiming to accomplish; a buffer zone.
5 - So let it be, spare the lives of  Ukrainians, because I do not see any one else dying, not the blood of a single European is spilled. The blood of Ukrainians only, the blood of the people rejected by Europe at all levels.
Finally
6 - Stop underestimating Russia.
7 - Stop thinking that; western Europe is the centre of the world.
8 - Stop your propaganda campaign.
9 - Stop flexing your muscles, and the cinematics.
10 - Deescalate.

Think about this: The fate and the future of Ukraine, Europe and the World, is in the hands of few leaders, making decisions as they go, for millions of people, who have nothing to say about all this.

Think about this as well: If These organisations had a single realistic, pragmatic, straight shooting leader, Not one bullet wood have been fired, and the whole tragedy would have been averted.

I will end this post with this message, words of wisdom, to the uwise, a vision to the less visionary, words to all those who act but do nothing; to those who talk but say nothing; to those who look but see nothing, and to those who listen but hear nothing:

Define then identify, because the incorrect definition leads to the wrong identity. Based on your definition, have you identified Russia, and in your definition, was Russia, an adversary, a rival, a competitor? all of the above?. Or do all these adjectives add up to a single conclusion; Russia is the Enemy. well then, you have incorrectly defined, hence, misidentified, because you were not profound enough, you did not reach the fundamentals.

Rest assured, your enemy is out there lurking in the shadows, yearning to eliminate your existence, even if it takes an eternity, and it is not China.

Now then; Keep an eye on China; it is in the calm, learning all your moves, reactions, strength and weakness, most of all the high level of stupidity amongst you.

As my friend BR. says; Ados for now.
