Hello everyone; This is Dr. Ghossein skg. again with you on blog 10. to continue the subject of the Canadian government's immigration policies. First and foremost, I would like to reiterate to those who do not know, and those who chose to ignore the fact that; this country was built on immigration. From a population of 3 million in 1867, to 37 million today, all immigrants. (except for the first people to cross the Bering Land Bridge, and the subsequent waves for thousands of years, and those who staid and claimed the land). Legal and orderly immigration, following the rules, regulations and the law of the land. Immigration should not be based on the discretionary powers of one man. Canada is a country with the second largest landmass in the world after Russia, with people to land ratio of around zero to 25 people per square kilometre, most living within 100 km. of the US. border. Without immigration Canada will be in danger of becoming just a large land mass. Having said tha...

Hello everyone, this is Dr. Ghossein with you on blog 9. Immigration. I would like to share my observations on the present Canadian government's immigration policies: The same Prime Minister who praised Castro, the same Prime Minister who praised the Chinese regime, is the one who publicly said " Refugees are Welcome", opening the flood gates to all, to come up, resulting in thousands answering the call of our PM. The surprising fact is that; non of them came to the official border crossings, as if they were trained by someone to come to illegal points of entry, trained on what to say when stopped by the Canadian authorities, trained on how to avoid becoming subjects to the Third Safe Country Agreement, in this case the US., to where all of them could be returned. The government of Canada until this moment did not deal with that situation, I ask, like you do, why is that? When the Minister of Immigration was asked, why not declare the entire border a port of entry? ...

Hello again, this is Dr. Ghossein skg. with you asking, how is your colour ? especially after that wild ride with present Canadian foreign affairs, if you think that was wild, then buckle up gentlemen and ladies. As I promised, in this blog 8. I will share my observations on the present Canadian government's finance politics, in particular its spending habits. Generosity is easy especially when it does not cost you not even a penny out of your personal account. Here is an example of spending of the present government of Canada. 17 September 2016; the prime minister pledged $50 million for Aids and Cholera in Africa. 26 September 2016; $21 million to FARC and the Colombian government for peace talks. These talks were rejected by Colombians in a referendum on 3 October 2016. ( where is the money?) 24 November 2016; in Nigeria the prime minister announced an additional $10 million for West Africa. 27 November 2017; $112 million to Africa and Haiti(look at Haiti, look at Africa ...

Hello everyone. This is Dr. Ghossein again. As they have asked for thousands of years in one corner of the Ancient Land; How is your colour today? Welcome to blog 7, I will proceed from blog 6, on the issues and situations in countries around the world, issues that our present government and minister of foreign affairs might feel the need to meddle in, or assist with. 6 - Saudi Arabia: War in Yemen; which according to the Saudis was fuelled by Iran's ambitions and interference in the affairs of countries with Shea Muslim presence, including Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Bahrain, and places where small Shea communities exist, such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc. Imminent danger to the Saudis, and their status as a regional power; Saudi Arabia will have to compete with Turkey to maintain its status as a regional power, and protector of the interests of Sunni Muslims, signalling to the Turks to keep their ambitions away from the Arab World. Remember, where ever Iran goes, Russia is ...

Hello everyone, this is Dr, Ghossein with you on blog 6, my observations on the present Canadian government's foreign affairs file. I know it is exiting times in Canadian politics, better yet Liberal govrnments' politics, the essence of the phrase "deja-vue". First the HuaWei fiasco, then the SNC-Lavalin fiasco followed by the resignation of the Honourable minister Jody Wilson-Raybould today, and honourable she is. The fiasco of Vice-Admiral Mark Norman and the resignation of Scott Brison from cabinet, yet to unfold, and perhaps lots more to come, we still have about 8 months for fiascoes to be created, Oh allegedly that is. Notice how famous and frequently used the word allegedly becomes when the liberals are in power. Boy you can not see the sunny ways our prime minister have promised even if you use the discovery telescope, is it ever so cloudy over the Liberal Camp these days, and I know the fan is overloaded, for everyone is trying to avoid the smell. But as...

Hello everyone, Dr. Ghossein skg with you again on Canadian foreign affairs. In blog 4 I left you with the China fiasco, today I will offer my observations on the Cuba fiasco and others. When our prime minister was asked about Fidel Castro, he replied and I quote "Fidel Castro larger than life". what a way to describe a man who kept his people under his boots for decades, living in misery, poverty and still in the 19th, century. Such compliment about Castro should give our prime minister some clout with the regime in Cuba, clout to help a Quebec man being railroaded in the Cuban justice system, which by the way is entirely controlled by the regime. Clout to protect our foreign mission in Cuba from being attacked by what is called the Havana Syndrome which was the base for a lawsuit filed on behalf of the employees of the Canadian embassy in Cuba against the Canadian government alleging, neglect and misleading information . I am not forgetting the report of our auditor gene...

Hello everyone, this is Dr. Ghossein with you to continue where we left the Canadian government foreign affairs politics. In this blog 4 let us look at the Chinese fiasco; China a great nation, a super power, ancient culture, like other super powers they want to flex their muscles, otherwise what is the use of being a super power. I want to leave the HuaWei situation and start with the ambassador of China to Canada, called a news conference and publicly insulted Canada in the worst way possible, the rules dictate that such impertinent person be called to the office of the minister of Canadian foreign affairs, to be in the least admonished or in the most sent packing to China while being declared Persona Non Grata following precisely diplomatic and consular rules of the Vienna Convention. He was defiant because he and his government knew that they are dealing with a spineless, incompetent government in Canada. Then the dealing with our own Canadian ambassador to China who went ro...

Hello everyone, this is Dr. Ghossein again with blog 3 Canadian Foreign Affairs: I finished my previous blog 2 with the fiasco our minister of foreign affairs have created with Russia, I called the blog Wake up Canada, today the blog is under a new domain called; Canada is awake. Fantastic that some are up and reading my observations. On I go to another fiasco created by the present Canadian government and its minister of foreign affairs, I am talking about Saudi Arabia and the famous tweet by our present minister of foreign affairs, a tweet that was taken by the Saudi government as an insult to the kingdom, a tweet that defied all conventional and written rules of diplomacy and international relations. I tell you again that, a touch of background knowledge would have prevented the minister from taking to twitter and speaking the way she did. To those who do not know, especially our minister of foreign affairs I say learn this about Saudi Arabia: 1- A stable kingdom, in a region...

Hello everyone This is Dr. Ghossein with bulletin 2 Wake Up Canada - Foreign Affairs: Today's blog is about how Foreign Affairs is handled by the present Canadian government. Foreign Affairs, one of the most important portfolios in the life of a country, whatever you might call it; foreign affairs, external affairs, global or united world affairs, all lead to the discharge of the same duties; dealing with other countries. But usually, if you deviate from the conventional name used for decades, it means you are sending a message, little we knew that this message would entail a fundamental switch in policies, from being exercised fist and foremost to insure the interests of Canada, instead the message could be understood as; my foreign policies will be based on my personal ideology and my personal beliefs. Then the prime minister assigns the foreign affairs portfolio to a minister that shares his ideology and personal views of the world, and then some, the minister brings a pr...

Hello everyone This is Dr. Samir Ghossein (SKG). I am back, it has been more than three years since I wrote anything pertinent to government performance. I have been observing closely the present Canadian government, I wanted to share with you observations based on facts, where political ideology and party affiliation have no room. I observed until my instinct could not take the silence anymore, hence sharing, otherwise guilt will dominate. I will introduce my observations in a series of blogs called Wake Up Canada. Wake up from a dream introduced by politicians producing lots of, hot air, lip service, and rosy pictures. It is time to get back to reality, where leading does not mean pushing, pulling and playing a broken record. For more than three years we heard about sunny ways and blaming the previous government. Well it is time for the present government to realize that it has been less and less sunny and more and more overcast, and the previous government has been out for thre...
