As I promised, in this blog 8. I will share my observations on the present Canadian government's finance politics, in particular its spending habits.
Generosity is easy especially when it does not cost you not even a penny out of your personal account.
Here is an example of spending of the present government of Canada.
17 September 2016; the prime minister pledged $50 million for Aids and Cholera in Africa.
26 September 2016; $21 million to FARC and the Colombian government for peace talks. These talks were rejected by Colombians in a referendum on 3 October 2016. ( where is the money?)
24 November 2016; in Nigeria the prime minister announced an additional $10 million for West Africa.
27 November 2017; $112 million to Africa and Haiti(look at Haiti, look at Africa and where did the money go?)
2 March 2017; $20 million to help with abortion.
2017 On Women's Day; $650 million for international reproduction and health rights, (Abortion) at the same time the US. cut all funds for that same cause.
July 2017; $10.5 million to Omar Khader. (ask CBC to replay an interview with Khader's mother and sister in Ottawa, when he was captured by American forces in Afghanistan).
15 September 2017; $2.5 million to Bangladesh.
26 September 2017; our prime minister approved; $13.6 million for social media posts.
23 October $25 million for the Rohingya .
31 October 2017; $36 million for cannabis education.
17 November 2017; $17 million to train female soldiers on how to be peace keepers.
23 November 2017; $35 million to Bangladesh.
2018; $500 thousand to Fin Div. agency for adds on how to eliminate poverty.
2018; $50 million pledge by our prime minister for women and girls education in Africa.
2019; Last week $53 million to Venezuela.
Billions of dollars is and will be spent on illegal refugee claimants.
Many billions spent since the present government was elected , and on it goes.

Notice that direct spending is one way to use money we do not have, another way of spending is losing money due to; - disputes with other countries( $4 billion with Saudi Arabia) - lack of  foreign investments, - loss of national projects due to government regulations, Bad government investment of tax payers money, such as; the purchase of the Kinder Morgan pipe line for $4.5 billion when it is worth 3.5 billion and losing value at a rate of $700 million per year, it will be worth nothing if the project is not built within 5 years, when you add other factors, the loss is much greater.
the purchase of jet fighters at the end of their service life. etc.etc. (blog1; the chairman and the board of directors).
Today Canada's debt is almost $1.3 Trillion, interest payment on that debt is 29.5 Billion per year, in a country with a GDP of $2 Trillion, the debt is 90% of  the GDP., which translates into $33,000. debt per Canadian, that is the government debt, which is totally different than personal debts such as mortgage, car, credit cards etc.
Last week the prime minister spoke  of "Empowering Young People". These words would have secured votes for him, but once the empowered young people realise that this empowerment starts with a debt of $33,000, an amount of money they owe, due to the prime minister's empowerment elsewhere.  Perhaps our government should be called the government of elsewhere.
